An homage to a federal gardening exhibition that took place in Kassel, 1981. The exhibitions subtitle could be translated into "Once a Ruthless Exploiter Now a Close to Nature Designer". The 6 photographs are showing trails crossing the borders of the federal state Hessen to its sourrounding 6 states. Each trail is an extended axis of the Karlsaue – itself an baroque garden which was part of the exhibition area – and is located where its axis would cross the federal border. Personally I think that a trail is the most natural way of designing nature.
